“What’s in a name?” - In an increasingly competitive marketplace, being able to distinguish the origin of goods or services plays an important role in establishing a business’ presence and profile.  The Pizzeys Trade Mark team is specifically dedicated to the protection and enforcement of trade marks both domestically and globally.  Our team has substantial practical experience in advising clients on obstacles to trade mark protection and creates effective strategies to overcome them.

Pizzeys’ Trade Mark team supports clients in trade mark clearance and all aspects of trade mark filing and prosecution as well as developing enforcement strategies, filing and conducting trade mark oppositions and non-use removal proceedings, negotiating and settling trade mark disputes and providing intermediary support for licensing and litigation.  This experience makes our team well equipped to provide support in trade mark infringement and passing off actions, as well as actions for trade practice violations.  Members of the team have practical experience in Australia and New Zealand as well as dealing with a vast array of foreign jurisdictions.  As such, our Trade Mark team ensures that a global approach is adopted for our clients’ portfolios.
